Zermatt is located at 1’620 m (5’310 ft) above sea level in the south-west of Switzerland. This car-free, idyllic village in the Matter
Valley lies in canton Valais. It is nestled amongst the fabulous scenery of the mountains and glaciers and thus offers visitors a
fantastic panorama of 38 peaks (four-thousand-metres high). In Zermatt you have snow for 365 days a year. In summer, skiing and
snowboarding is possible on more than 20 kms of ski runs. In winter more than 313 kms of ski runs await skiers of all levels. |
